Sliding Scale Ticket Pricing
Part of our vision at The Firefly Gathering is shifting cultural paradigms. Currently folks with access to more wealth have more opportunity for growth and connection. This is not an equitable approach.
We feel that the classes, experiences and skills we offer are important for everyone’s well being. To help achieve this goal, our workshops are priced at three levels, allowing each participant to pay at the rate that feels most viable.
To engage in mutual community support, please consider the following options and select your price at checkout.
For those who have enough to share, thank you for being a Sponsor. This is an opportunity to support someone else in participating who may not otherwise be able to.
The Standard pricing reflects what it costs to produce the class and cover basic expenses.
We offer an additional Equity Discount for those from the following communities who support reparations and/or an equitable redistribution of wealth and would not have access to this workshop without this discount:
Indigenous or Native American, Black, Latino/a/x
Other peoples of the global majority, or racialized communities
Ethnicities underrepresented in the Southeastern earthskills community
This discount is supported by Sponsors and Firefly’s fundraising efforts. In the future, we intend to expand this price tier to include other marginalized and oppressed communities, as we have the funding to do so.
This is equity. We care deeply for each other, and are working to transform the world into a culture of abundance and opportunity for all. Thank you for helping us. This is what keeps Firefly going and helps build more sustainability, resilience, and connection in our community and our world.

We are currently focusing on scheduling outdoor classes and as Buncombe County is no longer enforcing a mask mandate, masks are currently optional at perennial workshops (we will have some available for anyone at any time).
At the start of each class, in an ongoing effort to cultivate a culture of respect and consent, we will offer colored lapel ribbons to all class participants which will indicate the level of comfort folks have with distance requirements in general. Please pay attention to other’s color choices and respect their preferences.
Red: I prefer social distancing/personal space whenever possible.
Yellow: Please ask consent before entering my personal space.
Green: I welcome others into my personal space.
Yes, if you notify us at least 7 days prior to an event you can recieve a credit equal to the dollar amount that can be applied towards any ticket (while tickets last) and is not an actual ticket. Credit is valid for 3 years.
