Solitary orange tent in forest at the firefly gathering

2020 Financial Statement

We hope this finds you basking in the ever lengthening rays of spring sunshine, even if that means seeking out a solitary beam of sunlight and letting it fall upon you in your quarantined reality. Whatever this time may look like for you, may the sun shine upon you and fill your soul with joy!

In an ongoing attempt to be financially transparent, we are publishing our most recent Profit & Loss Report for our fiscal year ending August 2019. We were going into this year with only a $646.22 deficit, which wasn’t too bad for a transitioning nonprofit. However, with COVID-19 and the cancellation of our event, we are in a totally different reality than we had been planning for, as is everyone else right now. So, we hope this helps our community understand the position we are in. If you happen to not be financially impaired by COVID-19, please consider making a taxable donation to The Firefly Gathering HERE. Now, more than ever, we need you, our friends. Thank you for years of sharing the special bonds of community that we’ve all enjoyed. We cannot wait until we can be together again!

Yours in Solidarity,

The Firefly Staff

Lily Harlin

Bookkeeper

Lily is an artist, creator, and dreamer. Since a very young age, she has been immersed in the natural world and draws heavy inspiration from the wild. Though her medium changes frequently, Lily’s art and expression always incorporate an element of the organic and unpredictable. She got her associate in fine arts in 2023, and now volunteers at her school as a ceramic studio monitor. She hopes to open a studio of her own one day to have a place to teach and inspire others. In addition to doing commission work, Lily has been creating many graphics for The Firefly Gathering since 2019. Lily grew up in the Earthskills community from the time she was eight years old, so having the opportunity to grow and give back in so many ways has been incredibly fulfilling. No matter where she ends up, this group of people and ideas will always hold a special place in her heart.
